Topic #54: Inheriting parent's haram wealth or income.

Inheriting parent's haram wealth or income.

Inheriting parent's haram wealth or income. [parent's haram income; inheriting haram wealth; haram halal income]

If one's parents earn through haram sources then its sin is not upon him or her but on the parents themselves.

Regarding inheriting that haram income: if the children know that that income has been earned by ripping off someone's rights illegally or has been taken from someone by force then they should try to pay off that money back to whom it was ripped off from.

But if the wealth is from other haram sources like riba, selling alcohol etc & now that wealth has been inherited by the children then there is no issue in using it but it would be better if the children leaves it all for Allah's sake.

And Allah knows best!
